• Amenities: the essentials are covered locally (markets, supermarkets, clinics, banks), with the big shopping and hospitals of Pattaya/Rayong a short drive (practical info);

The honest trade-offs

• Less of everything entertainment-wise than the resort cities — that's the point, but know it before moving;
• Industry on the doorstep: the EEC brings jobs and development but is an industrial region — research specific areas;
